Trials and temptations often come in pairs. We can’t avoid the former, but we can watch and pray, so that we don’t fall into the latter. Be alert to that which tempts. Pray in advance for strength so you won’t be led into its trap.

Nearly every miracle of Christ was because of an interruption. Jesus was on His way somewhere and “stopped” to help someone. Will you let God interrupt your journey?

This world’s appraisal of greatness is based on outward things- good looks, possessions, and money. But the Kingdom will judge greatness by inner things. The Kingdom will turn us inside out and upside down. We may be in for a surprise as to who is first.

“When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them” (Matthew 14:14)

There is a weed that looks similar to wheat until maturity when it bears no fruit. Some will question whether the seed was good. Others will want to pull up the weeds. But the purity of the church is the Lord’s job. Ours is to grow and bear fruit.
