Our God is not just high and mighty to save, but near and willing to love us like a father, to sing over us like a mother comforting her child.

A good principle for leaders and preachers. When God reveals His Word to you, make sure to write it down in a plain and memorable fashion so that they that read it or hear it from you can run with it. Also a good habit for daily Scripture reading is to keep a study journal.
What did John see? It sounds like a volcano doesn’t it? John used the word pictures he knew to describe what he saw. He prophesies a day when volcanoes erupt and meteors (see “Wormwood”) fall from the sky. This is not sci-fi. It’s the end times.
God’s Word is what it says it is and it does what it says it can do. It is without flaw and therefore not to be added to or subtracted from. Are you a student of the Word? Have you found refuge in His promises?
A description of the Millennial Kingdom where the nations sing, “I ain’t gonna study war no more!” Only the Lord can bring such a thing to pass. His return will finally accomplish “Peace on Earth.”
Jonah heard God’s call and ran the other way. He soon learned that running from God led to killer storms, drowsy depression, and suicidal thoughts. God let Jonah hit bottom and after 3 days He raised him up. The resurrected Jonah obeyed God. There are consequences to running from God. Are you trying to run from God?
John witnesses the worship of Heaven. I wonder if he realized that one of the 24 thrones surrounding the throne of the Lord was his? Twelve for the tribes of Israel and twelve for the Lord’s disciples. Our worship now is rehearsal for this.
This sounds like WCC. God keeps trusting us with open door opportunities, while we are little in strength (numbers, money, influence). Let’s keep on preaching the Word and the Name.
God is a person not a place. Seek Him from where you are now. A change of scenery will not change your heart. Stop running away and start running to God. Seek the Lord and live.
Churches today track how much money and how many people, but Jesus had a different way of tracking success. He wanted to know how much they loved Him. How’s your church doing?
