‘Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!”’ (Psalms 96:10 NLT).

TELL ALL THE NATIONS THAT THE LORD REIGNS The psalmist encouraged God’s people to spread the message among the nations of the world that the Lord reigns. The Lord God is King over all. Therefore, the world and its peoples shall not be moved apart from His righteous judgment.   Viewed through the lens of

Heart for God

We are called to make disciples of Jesus. What should those disciples look like? The first and most important thing is they should have a growing Heart for God.

In Psalm 96, David taught the Israelites how to worship with a true heart for God. We can worship with a true heart for God.

‘Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns; the world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples righteously.”’ (Psalms 96:10 NKJV).

LET US SAY AMONG THE NATIONS THAT THE LORD REIGNS The psalmist encouraged God’s people to spread the message among the nations of the world that the Lord reigns. The Lord God is King over all. Therefore, the world and its peoples shall not be moved apart from His righteous judgment.   Viewed through the

Worship and Witness is…Missional

In the 96th Psalm, the Psalmist wrote that the nation of Israel should worship and bear witness to the glory of God so that all the earth would join in. The mission of that nation was to let their worship of God be a witness among the nations. We too can be missional through our worship and witness.

“Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” (Psalm 96:2-3)

The Psalmist calls us to sing, bless, tell, and declare the Name, salvation, glory, and works of God to all nations. Jesus commands us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19). So, which one(s) are you doing (singing, blessing, telling, declaring or discipling)? I like doing them all!

“Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his courts” (Psalm 96:8)

Q: How does the moon give glory to the sun? A: By reflecting its light onto a darkened earth. Similarly we give glory to God by reflecting His light to others. Like the moon, we have no light of our own, so we give our very lives to Him in praise. Q: What offering should we bring after giving Him our hearts? A: The first part of all: the first day of the week, first part of every day, and the first portion of every dollar. In this way, we reflect that God is first.

“Declare his glory among the nations” (Psalm 96:3)

The Lord enlarges our worldview. He calls us out to be His Kingdom messengers to the nations. Don’t be surprised or resist if you or your children are called to leave the comfort of home for an unknown foreign land. Get God’s worldview.
