“The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7)

And the Lord is the only One that can change the heart. Ask His help in your parenting and pastoring. Aim at heart change rather than just outward obedience. Ask “Lord, change our/their hearts!”
