It may seem unusual to visualize God&#8217;s love and favor as a shield, which is a defensive weapon of war. But David felt surrounded by the loving arms of God, so that he was shielded from harm.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"8srak\" data-offset-key=\"1p53d-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"1p53d-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"1p53d-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"8srak\" data-offset-key=\"609k1-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"609k1-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"609k1-0-0\">Those who are surrounded by God&#8217;s shield of favor have no reason to worry. For they are protected by God&#8217;s loving-kindness. Those encompassed by such grace need not fear. For God&#8217;s love is greater than the world&#8217;s hate. God&#8217;s love overcomes all things and withstands all things. O to be surrounded by God&#8217;s shield of favor!<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"8srak\" data-offset-key=\"ckm1v-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"ckm1v-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"ckm1v-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"8srak\" data-offset-key=\"da6q-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"da6q-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"da6q-0-0\">PRAYER: Our Father, thank You that You are our shield of favor. Lord we are hidden in You just as You are abiding in us. Your loving-kindness is our shield. What a comfort it is to know Your favor! For it protects us and defends us from all things.
