As he considered his relationship with God, he wrote of his total dependence and contentment to the Lord as his shepherd. He said that having the <\/span><span data-offset-key=\"f98r8-1-0\">Lord<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"f98r8-2-0\"> as his shepherd meant that he lacked nothing, that he was in want for nothing that the Lord didn&#8217;t provide.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3qsiu\" data-offset-key=\"e5052-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"e5052-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"e5052-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3qsiu\" data-offset-key=\"d2ouh-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"d2ouh-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"d2ouh-0-0\">The apostle Paul knew this contentment in Christ. He said, &#8220;I have learned the secret of being content\u2014whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need.<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"d2ouh-0-1\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-offset-key=\"d2ouh-0-2\">I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me&#8230; And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus&#8221; (Phil. 4:12-13, 19).<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3qsiu\" data-offset-key=\"brm1u-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"brm1u-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"brm1u-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3qsiu\" data-offset-key=\"2mm86-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"2mm86-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"2mm86-0-0\">Do you know this contentment, this lack of want, that David and Paul described? Are you able to say, &#8220;The Lord is MY shepherd, therefore I shall not be in want, for all of my needs are met in Christ Jesus?&#8221;<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3qsiu\" data-offset-key=\"6r28h-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"6r28h-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"6r28h-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"3qsiu\" data-offset-key=\"3auuv-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"3auuv-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"3auuv-0-0\">PRAYER: Dear Father, we have trusted Your Son as our Shepherd. We follow Him this day and trust that all our daily needs will be met in Him. Help us not to worry, but to trust You for every need and detail.
