THE FIRST SIX SEALS <\/span>OPENED<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
In chapter 6 of Revelation, John recorded his vision of the opening of six of the seven seals by the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. The opening of the first four seals revealed what has been called the “four horsemen of the apocalypse.” The first horse was white, and its rider went forth as a conqueror. This seems to symbolize the antichrist, who will conquer and establish a world government. The second horse was red and its rider went out to inspire conflict and war among the people. The third horse was black and its rider represented scarcity, causing shortages and economic trouble. The fourth was a pale horse and upon him sat Death, who came bringing such pestilence that a worldwide pandemic killed a fourth of the population.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After the opening of the first four seals, which revealed the four horsemen, two more seals were opened. The fifth seal was opened, which revealed the cry of the martyrs, those who had been murdered for their testimony concerning the Word, which is Christ. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

And then the sixth seal was opened, which revealed vast cosmic disturbances: earthquakes, changes in the sun and in the moon, meteor storms, with many striking the earth. Finally, mankind from small to great, responded in fear, recognizing the judgment of God upon creation.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

PRAYER: Dear Father, we believe that every word You have revealed will be fulfilled. But we will not be afraid. For You are with us. Strengthen us by Your Spirit. And send us out anew to tell others of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who holds the future in His hands.
