WHO ARE WE O LORD THAT YOU HAVE BROUGHT US THIS FAR?<\/h3>\n\n\n

When David told the prophet Nathan of his desire to build a house for the Lord, the word of the Lord came to Nathan during the night saying that He was instead going to build a house for David. The Lord spoke of a Son that would be born to David’s line that would build His house and establish an eternal kingdom. In other words, the Messiah, the Christ, would be born to David’s house. David’s response is revealing. “Who am I?” Indeed. Who are we that God would give us this Christ, so that we might be built into His house?<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

As the Spirit inspired the apostle Peter to write, “You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God\u2019s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What\u2019s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God” (1 Peter 2:4-5).<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
