He wanted His people to follow His ways, not the world&#8217;s ways. So, God gave them His laws to show them His ways. But the Israelites did not follow His law. Instead, they began to imitate the way of life of Egypt and Canaan.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"8oo49\" data-offset-key=\"1ouh7-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"1ouh7-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"1ouh7-0-0\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\" data-block=\"true\" data-editor=\"8oo49\" data-offset-key=\"5e10u-0-0\">\n<div class=\"_1mf _1mj\" data-offset-key=\"5e10u-0-0\"><span data-offset-key=\"5e10u-0-0\">God&#8217;s law is good, but it is not able to save. As the apostle Paul wrote, &#8220;The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin\u2019s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins&#8221; (Rom. 8:3).
