Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody! With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!\u201d (Psalm 98:4\u20136 ESV).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The psalmist called not only Israel but all the earth to erupt in joyful praise before the Lord. Writing to God\u2019s covenant people, he urged them to recognize that the Lord\u2019s salvation, revealed openly in earlier verses, extended beyond national boundaries to every nation. The repeated commands to sing, shout, and play instruments showed that worship was to be both heartfelt and skillfully expressed. The imagery of trumpets and royal celebration presented the Lord as King, worthy of public honor and global proclamation. This passage anticipated a greater fulfillment when all people would praise Christ&#8217;s saving reign, a vision later echoed in the triumphal entry recorded in Luke 19:37\u201338 and in the universal worship scenes of Revelation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are reminded that God\u2019s salvation deserves our worship. Since His saving work has been revealed to the world, we cannot keep our praise private. We are called to worship with both heart and skill, offering Him not only our sincere affection but also our best expression. His kingship deserves proclamation, so we gladly declare His rule in our songs, our gatherings, and our lives. His glory invites participation from everyone, everywhere, so we invite others to join us. Therefore, we refuse to settle for quiet praise. Instead, we joyfully erupt in music that resounds, and praise that recognizes Christ as King!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PRAYER<\/strong>: Dear Father, You are the King over all the earth, and Your salvation is worthy of joyful praise. Fill our hearts with gladness that overflows into song and celebration. Help us to proclaim Your greatness so that others may join in this joyful noise. May our lives resound with praise that honors You.
