He desired one who might shield him from punishment and make it possible for him to speak to the Lord without fear. Job’s prayer has been heard. Jesus is our Mediator. The Bible declares, “There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).

“If only there were someone to arbitrate between us, to lay his hand upon us both, someone to remove God’s rod from me” (Job 9:33-34)
