Deuteronomy 33

“The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27 ESV). In Deuteronomy 33, Moses spoke a final blessing over Israel before his death, addressing a people preparing to enter the Promised Land amid uncertainty and coming conflict. He reminded them that their true security was not found in geography

“Thus the Lord became king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people were gathered, all the tribes of Israel together” (Deuteronomy 33:5 ESV). This verse comes at the beginning of Moses’ final blessing to the tribes of Israel. Before speaking to each tribe, Moses affirmed a central truth: the Lord became King in Jeshurun.
